From July 19-August 8, 2015, six Jubla youth leaders will come to the Philippines for the next partnership visit.
During their 21 day stay, they will visit the Prelature of Infanta livelihood projects, Chiro groups in Las Pinas, Cebu, Baguio and Banaue, feeding program in an elementary school in Tacloban, and an encounter with youth leaders, AMEN group (ex CICM seminarians based in Leyte and Cebu), and a GK community in Kabalawan, Leyte.
As they journey across the Philippines, they will experience more of Philippine culture from the old churches in Manila to the mountain life of Baguio, Sagada, and Banaue.
What is new in this visit? Unlike past visits, both Chiro and Jubla leaders will experience advocating Let’s Have Breakfast (feeding program which emphasizes the need of eating nutritious breakfast) as a way of reaching out to children in the typhoon hit area of Leyte. Moreover, both organizations will also conduct a weekend training program for youth leaders in Jabez Campsite in Dasmarinas, Cavite.
Indeed, the partnership visit grows more than just a simple meeting of two organizations but a journey together with the aim of fostering mutual understanding and sharing of charism as they reach out and do something together for the children.
